Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and click on the view/buy button to view more information and/or see a more detailed picture of the selected item. If you decide to buy the item you can put it in your shopping cart. You can check your cart by selecting the 'Shopping Cart' option found on the menu bar on the left hand side of the screen or the top of the screen. This option will allow you to view and edit the items you have placed in your cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to process the order. We accept credit/debit card payment. Please note that all prices on the site are in British Pounds Sterling. If you use a different currency, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. The amount taken from your card will depend on the exchange rate between your currency and British Pounds Sterling at the time the order is processed.

We accept Amex, Visa, Mastercard, Switch and Solo.

We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you would rather not send your credit card details across the Internet you can place your order by:

You can also place an order using a cheque, postal order or International Money Order. Make cheques and postal orders payable to Chickenshop.co.uk Ltd. Please note that cheques may take up to 5 days to clear.

Prices All our prices are inclusive and are only subject to post and packing charges (see shipping and handling). Our prices are constantly being reviewed but this should not affect your order. The price the customer will pay for an item will be as shown for that item at the time the order was placed.

Please note that all prices shown on the site are in British Pounds Sterling.

Stock Availability
To ensure continuation of our stock we can and do obtain the same products from more than one source. The result of this is that packaging might differ from that shown in the catalogue. We reserve the right to alter our catalogue descriptions and prices at any time. If any of the product changes conflict with your order we will always give you the chance to change or cancel that order. If we are out of stock of a product and cannot restock the item for any reason we will always try and source a similar product for you. If this should prove unacceptable to you, you can cancel or change your order.

Many of the photographs and descriptions listed on the site are provided by the manufacturer or distributor. Changes can occur in content, colour or design of items shown.

Returns Policy and Cancellation Rights - You can return items for any reason within 8 days of receipt. Pack it up and return it to us preferably by Recorded Delivery, and we will refund your card, or send a cheque where applicable. Postage will not be refunded. This does not affect your statutory rights. We can not refund on goods not returned to us.

LOST IN THE POST? - Once the products have been paid for and have left our premises they are now the buyers responsibility. To protect the customer all our packages are trackable. If your parcel does not arrive give us a call on 01592 565608 and we will do our best to help you recover your goods.

WILL SOMEONE BE THERE WHEN IT IS DELIVERED? All our services are trackable.Your package will require a signature at your end. Despatch should be to an address where someone can sign for it. If you are unlikely to be at home you can select to have your order shipped to another address. If an attempt has been made to deliver your order the courier will leave a card giving you contact details. It is the customers responsibility to get in touch with the delivery company and arrange to collect the parcel or arrange for another delivery date. If your parcel can not be delivered and it has not been called for it will be returned to us. We are charged by the delivery companies for the return of the package. This charge will be deducted from any refund that you are due.

DAMAGED GOODS - If goods arrive damaged we will replace. If we ask you to return faulty goods the postal charge will be refunded.

ARRIVED TOO LATE? - If the order arrives too late for your party, you can return them in the normal way and if we are at fault, we will also refund your postage. A reason why we may not be at fault is that you have selected to use the first class post, when you should have used Express delivery. If our carrier is at fault, we will still refund your order in full. We ask you to send off the goods within 8 days of receipt.

IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS - As in a High Street shop, we expect the goods to be returned in a saleable condition. This means the packaging should also be intact. We cannot accept anything back where the packaging has been damaged. You must despatch your goods within 8 days of receipt. If this deadline is not met we can only offer you a credit note for the value of the goods. This does not affect your statutory rights.

When you are asked to supply your credit card details we utilise industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology in order to encrypt your credit card details (128 bit ). When asked to enter your credit card details you will notice that a small padlock is displayed at the corner of your browser, this means all data sent to us via the order form is protected and secure.
